Who does not like free or almost free? I am not ashamed to say I do! Having a big family means trying to find deals and/or bargains. At times it requires a bit of my time to find these deals but that’s OK because most of the time it’s well worth it. Entertaining my kids over the summer can get expensive so we do the free bowling and movies as well as playdates, beach and playing in our pool. What about treats/food? This summer I have stumbled over some amazing deals!

On 7-11 is Free Slurpee Day at Seven Eleven. They are offering one FREE small Slurpee per person! This deal is awesome because it’s not just for kids!
Cumberland Farms has a mind blowing deal! From now until Labor Day 2018, you can fill up on 69¢ HYPERFREEZE ANY SIZE at all of their stores! Of course my kids see any size and they get the biggest one! In this summer heat the HYPERFREEZE is a very refreshing way to cool off!

My kids favorite summer treat is at Racetrac. For ages 12 and under kids can eat ice cream for free, yep free! Grab a cup and a spoon at the participating convenience stores to get the deals on Swirl World ice creams, yogurts, sorbets and Italian ices. Top it off with the 40 toppings which they can add themselves. They have gummy bears bigger than my kids hand for a topping! Older kids and adults only pay $3 16-ounce cups for adults. Their web-site says this promotion is good through July but I asked my local Racetrac when it ends and they said September. No coupon is necessary, but children must be present upon purchase.

Our county is serving FREE lunches and snacks to children during the summer at our libraries. This service is for all children through age 18. We have taken advantage of this a few times already. The lunches are actually healthy with options such as turkey sandwiches, milk, cheese sticks, apple slices and yogurt. A few of my kids are picky eaters but they enjoyed the lunches. So check out your local library to see if your county is offering free summer lunches for children.
Chick- Fil-A is one of our favorite places to eat so eating free there is a real treat especially since you can do it for breakfast, lunch and dinner! On July 10th, Chick-fil-A will celebrate their annual “Cow Appreciation Day,” where guests will get the chance to score free food at the Chick.
No coupons or apps are needed for this offer.
- Make or buy your cow costume (or any sort of cow apparel).
- Wear your cow costume to your favorite Chick-fil-A between Opening and 7 p.m.
- Receive a free entrée!
